Barbarians at the Gates: The sad fate of two armies.
5 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsOnce upon a time the Romans had a great and powerful Army. Just as with our own (US) history, they were formed from volunteers from a wide slice of society; men with real skills and dedication. Unlike our own military, the Romans had plenty of fighters from the elite class (naturally they had better armor!), but there were many similarities too. For instance, the average Roman foot soldier had to carry 66 pounds worth of equipment on his back...almost the exact weight average of the U.S. (…)

Somalia
5 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
THE United States, heavily engaged in Afghanistan and Iraq in its global war on terror, is now fighting on a third front in Somalia (1). Washington assembled an anti-terrorist coalition in the Gulf of Aden in 2001 and it is clear from recent air raids and the deployment of US battleships that it regards the Horn of Africa as part of the theatre of operations in its battle against al-Qaida.
It is up against the Union of Islamic Courts, funded by Mogadishu traders who had had enough of (…) -
CIA torture: A first step towards justice for Al-Zery, but what about Agiza?
5 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentSwedish GUE/NGL MEP Jens Holm, a member of the parliament’s CIA investigation committee, is supportive of the Swedish government’s decision to revoke the deportation order for Mohammed Al-Zery. It was in December of 2001 that Mohammed Al-Zery and Ahmed Agiza were arrested by Swedish security police, with the help of the CIA, and deported to Egypt. They were tortured during both the deportation and their time in prison in Egypt. "This is a first step towards justice for Mohammed Al-Zery. (…)

Syria ready with bio-terror if U.S. hits Iran
Quote: The true purpose of this story is to create markers that can be referred back to when the United States government unleashed biological weapons in the Middle East. These spook types are just too obvious.

Many of us - due to the preponderance of eye-witness accounts and ostensible FEMA, CIA and FBI negligence as reported in hundreds of articles posted on www.reallyhappened.com - have reason to strongly suspect that the WTC destruction was orchestrated (..not by Bush’s cronies alone, but ) - by the long standing Hereditary Rich of the US, Great Britain and Israel, in order to consolidate and finalize their military and Media-psycologist control of all (…) -

U.S. urges caution on subprime loans
3 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentBy Becky Yerak
March 3, 2007
The subprime mortgage business is starting to have the whiff of the troubled airline industry.
At least 20 U.S. subprime lenders in recent months have closed, retrenched, filed for bankruptcy, delayed earnings reports, taken financial hits, or been sold or downgraded amid a rise in delinquency rates.
And federal regulators have noticed.
Worried that "subprime borrowers may not fully understand the risks" of such lending products as adjustable-rate (…) -

Bush’s "Smoking Gun"
2 March 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsYesteday upon the stair I saw a man who wasn’t there. He wasn’t there again today....I wish to Hell he’d go away!
Could Bush’s "Smoking Gun" become a real "Mushroom Cloud"? Sure.
For months the Bush administration has been making grossly exaggerated claims about Iran’s "New-Q-Lar" weapons uranium enrichment, often claiming that that country is "on the verge" of possissing the bomb. Recent reports from the IAEA and intelligence networks in the area challenge Bush’s claims. In fact, (…)
