1 commentBush’s ’Personal Law Firm’ Gets Yet Another Crook off the Hook
02-Feb-04
Joshua Bolten
G. W. Bush, along with his Daddy and Ronald Reagan have enjoyed the services of their "own personal law firm": O’Melveney and Myers. The controller of the US budget, Joshua Bolten, was drawn from the O’&M pool. Michael Powell is also a former O&M man. O&M’s CEO Arthur B. Culvahouse was Reagan and Bush I’s chief legal advisor for everything from Iran Contra to devising ways to increase (…) -

Counterfeit Conservative
Impostor: How George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy, Bruce Bartlett, Doubleday, 320 pages
by Doug Bandow
President George W. Bush took office to the sustained applause of America’s conservative movement. In 2000, he defeated the liberal environmentalist Al Gore, abruptly terminated the legacy of the even more hated Bill Clinton, and gave Republicans control of both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue. A few cynics were suspicious of Bush’s (…) -

JAMES CARROLL Rumsfeld and the big picture By James Carroll | March 27, 2006
’’FORTUNATELY, history is not made up of daily headlines, blogs on websites, or the latest sensational attack," Donald Rumsfeld wrote in a Washington Post op-ed column last week. ’’History is a bigger picture, and it takes some time and perspective to measure accurately."
Rumsfeld was arguing that any evaluation of the present catastrophe in Iraq should take a longer view, and I agree with him. Indeed, I have (…) -

Bush Makes Iraq the Vital Reason for His Impeachment and Removal
28 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsGeorge W. Bush has clarified the most vital reason why he must be impeached and removed from office as soon as possible: the slaughter in Iraq, and his clear statement that it will not end while he is in the White House.
Bush has made his departure the light at the end of the tunnel.
If he stays, more killing is inevitable. If he goes, a quicker end to the war is not certain, but it is more likely. Nobody expects Dick Cheney to pull out of Iraq if he succeeds Bush. But a successful (…) -

James Fetzer, PhD: The Congress is Corrupt (1.5 min mp3 play at work)
"This man, this administration has committed so many impeachable offenses that if the Congress had any guts, any integrity, any intestinal fortitude, any committment to the Constitution he would have been subject to impeachment a long time ago.
What that means is (…) -

Hey, General Assembly of MD: ”Reverse Deregulation!”
27 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
If I hear one more time that Maryland’s GOP Governor Robert Ehrlich is “pro-business,” I’m going to scream! Didn’t he put his hand on the Bible when he was sworn into office, in Annapolis, and implicitly promise to act as a trustee for the public good, “without partiality or prejudice?” Ehrlich is duty bound in all official matters by virtue of the supreme law of the land, the Constitution, to put the people first, not his fat cat business cronies and contributors. This should mean for him (…)

What Next?In case of total collapse, is there an alternative?
27 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentEveryone seems to think they have the solution, yet no alternative plans have been announced and no details emerge as to what this agenda they have is, however there is a plan known as PNAC that most of these neoconservatives (in want for a better definition, I will use my own, unethical stance that they are only right, with their trust us, have we ever let you down easy yet; cavalier, elitist, arrogant unmanly ballistic mayhem of _delusional doublespeak., (yet I regress.)) subscribe to, and (…)
