Nancy Pelosi says No Plan for Iraq is a good thing. Does this make any sense coming from the "opposition" "leader"?
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said yesterday ( Jan 06) that Democrats should not seek a unified position on an exit strategy in Iraq.. differing positions within the caucus are a source of strength for the party.
That’s the opposition leader in the house.
Harry Reid- the Senate Opposition Leader:
John Kerry- the man who was fighting to take back America (…)

Advice to Karl Rove: Try this for the Bush Library
20 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsLet’s face it, in just 2 1/2 years George Bush will begin constrution on his own Presidential Museum, and he’ll be desperately needing some main feature for the school children and "scholars" of future generations to study.
I suggest a feature length video, edited from TV coverage, designed to show our "noble" president in the very best light.
Just as we rewrote American history for the school kids in the past (many textbooks from the 30s and 40s remain essentially unchanged to this (…) -

Monsieur Prime Minister, revoke your CPE [Contrat Première Embauche — First Employment Contract]!
Once again, the demonstrations against the CPE were an enormous success. More than one and half million people poured into the streets to make the Prime Minister understand that they want the revocation of the CPE, period.
Demonstrators in many marches exceeded 10,000, nay 100,000: more than 350,000 people in Paris in fact, 130,000 in (…) -
The Failure of Hugo-Bashing by Mark Weisbrot

Despite U.S. efforts, the Venezuelan leader is winning friends across Latin America.
It was yet another public relations coup for Venezuela: Vila Isabel, the samba club sponsored mainly by the Venezuelan government, won the parade competition in Rio de Janeiro’s Carnaval last week. A float with a giant likeness of Simon Bolivar, combined with thousands of ornately costumed participants parading down the avenue, trumpeted the winning theme: Latin American unity.

Milosevic divides Belgrade in death By Nick Hawton BBC News, Belgrade
19 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
It was a tale of two cities.
The city that sees Slobodan Milosevic as a Serb hero, who did everything to defend his people and who was finally and, brutally, killed by his opponents.
And the city that sees the former president as the epitome of evil best forgotten and consigned to the history books.
Under the leaden skies, Mr Milosevic’s supporters gathered in their thousands outside the federal parliament building.
Mostly in their 40s and 50s, they carried portraits of their hero (…) -

WRITE ABC TV ABOUT "BOSTON LEGAL"
18 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsNeedless to say, the warhawks and Bushistas are trying to flood ABC with negative messages about the James Spader monologue on Boston Legal. They are out to make sure the speech never appears in reruns. If you agreed with the speech, if you applaud the stand for the Constitution expressed in the show, if you want to encourage mainstream media to finally exercise their role as watchdog on government abuse, even if it is in a drama, then YOU NEED TO WRITE IN AND SUPPORT THE SHOW.

The central battlefield in the global resource war By Mike Whitney INFORMATION CLEARING HOUSE)
18 March 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 comments03/17/06 "ICH" — - It’s impossible to understand the goals of the Bush administration without looking at a map. The entire Middle East and Central Asia is referred to in military parlance as CENTCOM; the central battlefield in the global resource war. This region extends from Sudan in the south to Kazakhstan to the north; from Egypt in the west to Pakistan in the east. This is where the vast majority of the world’s remaining resources lie and it will continue to be the primary area of focus (…)
