Secret Warfare: From Gladio to 9/11
An EIR interview with Dr. Daniele Ganser, 8 avril 2005 EIR: How did you come to the idea of writing a book on NATO’s Secret Armies? Who encouraged you and who discouraged you?
Ganser: I had finished my university studies in history in 1998 and I was looking for a Ph.D. research topic. At that time, I did research on the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, with a specific focus on whether the United Nations, the world peace organization so to speak, could have (…) -

In April 2009, the Campus Activities Council (CAC) of the University of Oklahoma had a Facebook site announcing that on May 2 CIA agent Michael Scheuer was scheduled to give a speech on campus. Scheuer was described as "the long-time chief of the Bin Laden tracking center."
This is interesting because OU president David Boren, a former U.S. Senator, has many ties to the CIA and is widely known as the mentor and sponsor of George Tenet, who was CIA director when the (…) -

1 commentIt took less than one hundred days for Barack Obama to sell his soul.
In my recent Pravda.Ru article, Et Tu Barack (Part II), I expressed the hope that “with Obama’s election, the ‘audacity of hope’ would bring with it a ‘plethora of principle,’ that it would not be politics as usual, that the United States would apologize for the excesses of the Bush dictatorship, compensate those victimized by it, and criminally punish those responsible for advocating and/or engaging in acts of torture, (…) -

New Bush Crimes Revealed: 92 Torture Tapes Destroyed
Yesterday, it was revealed that under Bush the CIA destroyed 92 tapes of illegal interrogation tactics — in other words, tapes showing the Bush administration’s record of torture. The CIA destroyed the tapes in response to, and in direct violation of, a Congressional investigation.
Destroying tapes is not small potatoes. For many months, former President Richard Nixon refused to turn over tapes that Congress believed showed criminal (…) -

This is the Prologue to the new documentary from The Corbett Report, Al Qaeda Doesn’t Exist. This documentary interrogates the notion that Osama Bin Laden single-handedly runs the pervasive Al Qaeda terrorist network by examining its inception, its links to Western intelligence, the double agents and fictitious characters that populate its ranks, and the fraudulent ways the Al Qaeda myth is propagated in (…) -
The CIA Wouldn’t Lie to Us, Would They?

By David Glenn Cox http://theservantsofpilate.com
I guess that all depends on who they’re talking to; they lie to suit their purpose and tell the truth when it fits their needs. If you were to ask a government official, “Are UFO’s real?” they would smile a paternalistic smile and maybe even roll their eyes a little and say, “No Virginia, UFO’s aren’t real.”
Then this same government would publish a FEMA manual of procedures for firefighters on what to do if they encounter an (…) -

Karachi—The Indian Government referring to Mumbai carnage is acting like the Israeli tyrants, blaming for their own failure to Pakistan which is struggling with the same elements of terrorism and rogue groups.
What the people of India have to address and realize is the treatment of the Muslim communities in Gujrat and many areas, let alone their terrorism inflicted upon the innocent guard less Kashmiris. One would love to see the same people who are so easily (…) -

Supertanker Takeovers by "Pirates" has Insider Fingerprints
Could this happen without insider complicity, or is it a likely a ploy by oil interests to generate anxiety and get oil prices moving back up again?
by Paul Noel Pure Energy Systems New
We are seeing news stories about pirates taking supertankers. This might appear to be a fairly plain and straightforward news story. Nothing could be further from the truth.
It is a fact that there are not more than a few ports around the (…) -

LONDON: The British government has ordered an investigation into MI5’s role in the alleged torture of a British resident being held at Guantanamo Bay to extract confession from him.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is reported to have asked Attorney-General Baroness Scotland to investigate allegations that an MI5 officer took part in unlawful interrogation of Binyam Mohamed (30), when he was arrested in Pakistan in 2002 on terror charges.
