    Back in the late 70’s when the Ayatollah Khomeni was the "Evil Arab tyrant" of the day, burning the American flag was like the national pastime for Iran. I say this facetiously of course, but still I do recall many images from my childhood of crowds burning American flags.
    There are two major differences today.

    WASHINGTON - Nearly three out of four American troops serving in Iraq think U.S. forces should withdraw within a year, and more than one in four say the United States should leave immediately, according to a new poll published Tuesday.
