Lebanese Security” Is the Pretext for the Naval Babel around Lebanon’s Shores
Military Report
September 4, 2006, 11:37 AM (GMT+02:00)
The extraordinary buildup of European naval and military strength in and around Lebanon’s shores is way out of proportion for the task the European contingents of expanded UNIFIL have undertaken: to create a buffer between Israel and Hizballah.
Close investigation by military and intelligence sources discloses that “Lebanese security” and peacemaking (…)

2 commentsSenate: Saddam saw al-Qaida as threat
By JIM ABRAMS, Associated Press Writer, 9. September 2006
WASHINGTON - Saddam Hussein regarded al-Qaida as a threat rather than a possible ally, a Senate report says, contradicting assertions President Bush has used to build support for the war in Iraq.
Released Friday, the report discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that before the war, Saddam’s government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" (…) -

"We should not be surprised that criminals are proliferating. The reason for this is the darkness that reigns in people’s minds. Since criminals require darkness in order to act, they profit from these favourable conditions. But if people were to increasingly develop their faculties of intuition and clairvoyance, for example, the ideas being conceived in the minds of criminals would be detected immediately. Thoughts emit waves, and it is these waves which would warn people of (…) -

“Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu) wants to destroy everything for his own personal interests.” - Ehud Olmert, Israel’s P.M. (1)
Philadelphia, PA - On the early evening of September 6, 2006, Benjamin Netanyahu, ex-Israeli Prime Minister (1996-99), and presently the Likud Party boss and a member of the Knesset, showed up in the “City of Brotherly Love.” He was there to beat the drum for a U.S. war with Iran. How lethally ironic!
Netanyahu roared: “Iran is developing ‘the weapon.’ We may have to (…) -

Gaza is dying. The Israeli siege of the Palestinian enclave is so tight that its people are on the edge of starvation. Here on the shores of the Mediterranean a great tragedy is taking place that is being ignored because the world’s attention has been diverted by wars in Lebanon and Iraq.
A whole society is being destroyed. There are 1.5 million (…) -

What If the U.S. and Iranian Presidents Did Debate?
8 September 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsby Ivan Eland
The outspoken President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has challenged President Bush to debate U.S.-Iran relations. Bush has dismissed the offer and declined. Debate is not good-faith negotiation between the opposing parties, but it is better than nothing. And it might not be as one-sided as most Americans think. We could certainly fantasize about how such a debate might play out.
President Bush, of course, would begin by accusing Iran of support for the “Islamo-fascist” group (…) -
Palestinian Donors: What Mission?
8 September 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
By Nicola Nasser* The Palestinians have been too grateful and too helpless for too long to be critical of the political agenda of their donors who have practically nailed them down as political hostages to the donors’ money, which was promised initially to help build an independent Palestinian state, but ended as a political instrument effectively used by the Israeli occupying power. Donors have embroiled themselves in an internal Palestinian political crisis they themselves created when (…)
