“We must guard against the...unwarranted influence of...the Military-Industrial Complex.” — President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Baltimore, MD - At center/city’s Mt. Vernon Square, on May 3, 2007, a rally and march was held to protest the Bush-Cheney Gang’s Iraqi War and the insane “Surge” strategy to perpetuate that conflict. It took place in the shadow of the first monument built in this country to honor the memory of America’s most beloved patriot, George Washington. State Delegate Jill P. (…)

I Think I’ve Got L.S.D.
4 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentI think I’ve got L.S.D. In fact I’m almost sure of it. Last night while I was flipping through the channels and stopped quite by accident on the NBC nightly news. Brian Williams was explaining, carefully, tactfully almost tip toeing in fact, “A certain class of anti depressants has in some rare cases caused young people to have increased thoughts of suicide. The F.D.A is strengthening their black box warning to include individuals up to the age of twenty four.” He was then joined by a (…)

Bush’s War by Military Families Speak Out Ohio
3 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Perhaps if Mr. Bush had been more involved during his time of military service, he would have a better appreciation for the hardships endured by military families. When the president threatens our loved ones by forcing them past the point of human endurance, military families will not remain silent. Most military families know the war and occupation of Iraq is a violation of the military core values that we teach American soldiers and sailors. The supporters of this war repeatedly attempt (…)

BELTSVILLE, Md. — Unless someone or something stops it soon, the mysterious killer that is wiping out many of the nation’s honeybees could have a devastating effect on America’s dinner plate.

Among them: apples, (…) -
U.S. and EU Agree ’Single Market’
2 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsThe United States and the European Union have signed up to a new transatlantic economic partnership at a summit in Washington. The pact is designed to boost trade and investment by harmonising regulatory standards, laying the basis for a US-EU single market.
The two sides also signed an Open Skies deal, designed to reduce fares and boost traffic on transatlantic flights.
But little of substance was agreed on climate change.
However, EU leaders were pleased that the US acknowledged (…) -
BUSH’s PIPEDREAM: TO WIN IN IRAQ
2 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
8 commentsNobody seems to understand exactly what Bush means by "winning" in Iraq. Perhaps this is what he means:
We must completely rebuild the infrastructure...which we previously pormised to do and on which we wasted 10s of billions. Hell, the contractors who did the shoddy "work" have now even avoid income tax!
We’ll need to stop gun and drug smuggling, and the theft and sale of OIL on the black market. No problem!
We’ll need to get the 2 million Iraqi professionals who fled Iraq to return (…) -
Picking Up the Pieces
2 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
At the end of the third Reich as Russian armies surrounded Berlin and the Allies were approaching from the west both Herman Goering and Hienrich Himmler were both plotting to supplant Hitler. Was it power mad insanity? Were they such poor students of history? Did they not know that any leader that takes over after losing a war will have a tough time of it? At best he will have to face an angry constituency asking pointed questions and at worst face the hangman’s noose. I use the example of (…)

The Rah Rah Society
1 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentIt is not well known but there is a secret society at work in America today, No not the Masons the Trilateralist’s or the Rand Corporation. This secret confederation it is so secret in fact that some of the members don’t even know they’re members themselves. The have no conscious memories of their initiation or of their oath. The neophytes chant the mantras and learn and repeat the gospels hoping to rise to a level of prominence in The Ancient Mystic Order of The Rah Rah Society.
