Vacaville Mom Takes Protest On Road
After a 26-day vigil that ignited the anti-war movement, Cindy Sheehan took her protest on the road Wednesday, while a handful of veterans pledged to continue camping off the road leading to President Bush’s ranch until the war in Iraq ends.
Rather than heading home to California, the mother of a 24-year-old soldier who died in Iraq boarded one of three buses heading out on tour to spread her message.
"This is where I’m going to spend every August (…)

Sheehan, war protesters leave camp
1 September 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Dozens of war opponents on Wednesday left their makeshift campsite near President Bush’s ranch after a 26-day roadside vigil that drew thousands and ignited the anti-war movement.
Cindy Sheehan, a fallen soldier’s mother who arrived in Bush’s adopted hometown Aug. 6 and refused to leave until he talked to her, boarded one of several buses heading on a tour to continue spreading her message.
"This is where I’m going to spend every August from now on," Sheehan said as she smiled and waved (…) -

It Was the Oil, Stupid
by Cindy Sheehan, Crawford, TX
"If Zarqawi and bin Laden gain control of Iraq, they would create a new training ground for future terrorist attacks," Bush said. "They’d seize oil fields to fund their ambitions. They could recruit more terrorists by claiming a historic victory over the United States and our coalition."(George Bush, August 30, 2005 in San Diego.)
So it is official, Casey had his blood shed in Iraq for OIL. He died so we could pay over 3.00/gallon (…) -

Goodbye to Crawford But Not to Camp Casey
While George golfed yesterday, the worst hurricane ever struck New Orleans; oil went up to over 68.00/barrel; and an American soldier was killed in the charade and cataclysmic occupation of Iraq. The soldier’s family doesn’t even know what’s going to hit them yet. The death is "Pending Notification." I continually ask myself: "How do George Bush and other death-mongers live with themselves?" While George vacations (…) -

In My Life, I Loved You More
Since I began my vigil in Crawford, an average of 2.69 per day of our nation’s brave and noble troops died in Iraq for George’s cowardly and ignoble war. 2.69 families per day have been devastated for no reason except that: we have to continue killing American soldiers because so many have been killed already. My heart and soul go out to these families who had a loved one killed so needlessly and avoidably.
How many more are (…) -

We Need Your Support
29 August 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
Dear friend of A.N.S.W.E.R.,
Unfolding developments over the past several weeks have made it clear that the September 24th demonstrations in Washington DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles have the potential to be the largest outpourings of anti-war sentiment since the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. The anti-war movement is gaining momentum daily, and successful mass mobilization on Sept. 24 can be the key element in transforming that momentum into a powerful political force.

We’re Inviting George and Laura to join us for some good food and conversation. We have a few questions to ask him!
The vigil of Cindy Sheehan and the other families and veterans in Crawford has struck a chord with the American people. Like these Gold Star moms, we ask the President to take a few moments of his five week vacation to tell them why brave Americans like Casey Sheehan have been sent to their deaths in Iraq.
Cindy has also (…) -

1 commentCRAWFORD, Texas - Cindy Sheehan plans on taking her anti-war vigil on the road.
Once President Bush leaves his Texas ranch late this month, Sheehan says she’ll begin a bus tour from her camp nearby. She says it’ll last more than three weeks, wrapping up September 24th in Washington — followed by a 24-hour vigil.
Sheehan’s son died in Iraq. She began camping out near the ranch earlier this month, vowing to stay until Bush met with her. She recently left for a few days to tend to her ill (…) -

Ann Wright announced tonight that Caravans will be leaving Camp Casey in different directions August 31st heading to Washington, stopping all over the country to organize for the March on Washington on September 24th.
Why?
Labor Day is a huge travel holiday... why not advertise Crawford, Texas as the site of the Great American Campout this Labor Day Weekend. I don’t know for sure, but in all likelihood our vacationing President will stay thru the (…)
