Announcement from the Union of the Unemployed in Iraq -
UUI Sit-in Protest Against Unemployment

The Union of the Unemployed in Iraq - UUI - will be holding a sit-
in, to protest vast unemployment in Iraq. There will be a general
gathering first in front of the union-s office in Al Rashid St.
close to the old Turkish Restaurant at the location of the old
General Union of Workers of Iraq-building at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
July 29th., 2003. The final location of the Sit-In will be announced
later at the gathering.

We call upon all freedom loving people, workers organizations,
humanitarians and all those who oppose the hunger and deprivation in
Iraq, to join us in this protest. We are determined that our demands
be immediately met by the authorities.

Place: Union of the Unemployed in Iraq, Al Rashid St. al tahrir
square, close to old Turkish Restaurant, Baghdad.

Time: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at 9:00 a.m.
