    Listening to the reports of the cruel and unjustifiable carnage being perpetrated by Israel over the past few weeks would depress even the most carefree of people.
    The realisation that Israel is allowed to freely breach every international law in the book without fear of ever being held responsible is an international scandal.     The world would be a better and safer place if there was no Israeli state. For if there was no Israeli state, there would be no armed campaign against it and no armed campaign in defence of it.
    I can understand perfectly well why Jews across Europe felt the need for a homeland state following the Second World War. No wonder they thought that the only way to ensure that there would never be another holocaust was to set up a state of their own and ensure its total security.
