"The Greatest Battles are yet to be Won"
10 February 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
At last the truth behind the endless stream of 1984-type propaganda against Iran has finally emerged on the fringes of the British mainstream media (MSM). In the cover story of the current NEW STATESMAN, the well-respected investigative journalist, John Pilger, reveals how the recent manoevrings at the International Atomic Energy Authority and the incessant demonizing of Iran by washed-out quislings like Blair and his ’man-of straw’ Foreign Secretary are nothing more than a campaign to (…)

The Road to the Muslim Holocaust
9 February 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
7 comments"We are being challenged by Islam these years - globally as well as locally. It is a challenge we have to take seriously. We have let this issue float about for too long because we are tolerant and lazy. We have to show our opposition to Islam and we have to, at times, run the risk of having unflattering labels placed on us because there are some things for which we should display no tolerance. And when we are tolerant, we must know whether it is because of convenience or conviction”. Queen (…)

8 February 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
2 commentsThe Bush/Cheney administration was hell bent for leather to install John Bolton as US Ambassador to the Unites nations A dear friend of Judith Miller , Bolton is a man who has publicly expressed his desire that several stories of the UN Building cease to exist from the the face of the Earth. Bush , in one of his many tasteless "jokes " asked UN General Secretary Kofi Annan whether , with his mad Ambassador in the building , had the UN structure remained in tact. (…)

LET IT BE KNOWN Propagandized stupider than the fates will allow
Let it be known, that the senior management national news reducers of CBC and CNN, know full well, they would rather watch American Soldiers die as the thieving bad guys, than to defend God’s America by reporting that the demon enemy George W. Bush, and his business partner General Ahmad, committed the terrorist acts of 9/11, along with Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney, and Myers.
We shall, start there, and (…) -
Rumsfeld’s Scheme to Spy on Your Kids Pentagon Database Leaves No Child Alone

All over the country, organized citizens are fighting to restrict the military’s presence in schools. But having recruiters troll high schools cafeterias is just one way the Pentagon inundates our youngsters with messages to "Go Army!"
Since 2002, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has spent a half-million dollars a year creating a database it claims is "arguably the largest repository of 16-25 year-old youth data in the country, containing roughly 30 million records." (…) -

GAZA CITY — Ahmed Bahar arrived here in his mother’s womb, the beginning of a journey that has taken him from the refugee camps of the Gaza Strip into exile, prison and, soon, a seat in parliament.
Along his sandy street flutter the triumphant green banners of Hamas, the radical Islamic movement he has helped foster since before its official founding nearly two decades ago. A professor of Arabic, Bahar is the earnest face of an (…) -

In my piece concerning John Edwards which ran this past week, I wrote: "In the November 28, 2005, issue of ’The Nation,’ John Edwards was quoted as saying: "I voted for the resolution ... it was a mistake."
I have to add that I respect anyone, regardless of what decision they made in the past, when they see that it was wrong. I have deep respect when they come out of the political closet and with humility to state that their vote was a "mistake."
With that said, I (…) -
"...Shall We Not Revenge?"

1 commentby Uri Avnery IF ONE wants to understand what the Palestinians did on election day, one has to see the film "Paradise Now", which has been nominated for an Oscar for the best foreign film, after collecting several prestigious international prizes. It explains better than a million words.
Its makers - the screen-writer-cum-director, Hani Abu-As’ad from Nazareth, and the actors, are Palestinians. (Amir Harel, one of the producers, is a Jewish Israeli.)
The two main characters, Sa’id and (…)
