    Over two thousand people made their way to Camp Casey yesterday for a huge hoe down deep in the heart of Texas. Full buses of supporters from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin unload and loaded throughout the day. The day included a massive volunteer mobilization to serve up a full "Texas-style BBQ," and to support all of the camp visitors in the 100+ heat.     A photographer friend of mine went down to Crawford to the Pro-War, Anti-Peace rally today. There were about 1500 people there he said. He also said that it was the most "third reich" spectacle that he had ever seen in America.

    Does anyone else think this is a little selfish? How can they feel good about taking the donations and paying off their mortgage even before the protest is over? It sort of seems like the mentality of a repubican, to always think of themselves first.
    They could have instead used the protest money to rent more camping and parking space to enable the protest to grow. Instead they were sending folks away.

    WASHINGTON - It’s time for the Democratic Party to take a courageous stand and call for the withdrawal of troops from the senseless war in Iraq.
    Its human cost and the billion-dollar a week tab in Iraq should give all Americans pause.

    I finally figured out George Bush’s NEW reason for staying in Iraq. This reason has also been co-opted by the Move America Forward (forward to what: Fascism?) and the poor mothers who would be honored if their sons were killed in George Bush’s war for greed and power.
