Tra bombe a grappolo rischiosa la consegna degli aiuti

Sembrano piccole palline da tennis verdi oppure hanno l’ aspetto di bottigliette metalliche con un ciuffo di nastrini bianchi. Se ne vedono un’ infinita’ nelle campagne scoscese poco a nord del fiume Litani, tartassate dalle bombe a grappolo lanciate in quantita’ innumerevole dai caccia israeliani fino a due giorni prima della tregua cominciata il 14 agosto. Ne sono state recuperate fin’ora (26 agosto 2006, ndr)1800 e le vittime sono state 11, con 43 feriti, dicono fonti libanesi.

Il presidente siriano Bachar al-Assad e quello venezuelano Hugo Chavez hanno espresso mercoledì (nella foto) la loro volontà comune di far fronte alla «egemonia» americana.

vi invio questo straordinario articolo di Amira Hass apparso sul quotidiano Haaretz. Una voce che insieme a quelle dei soldati che si rifiutano di combattere, ai giovani e non solo giovani israeliani che ogni settimana manifestano insieme ai palestinesi a Bi’ilin per fermare il muro, alle donne della coalizione per la pace alle tante associazione per i diritti umani mostrano l’ Israele che bisogna salvare da una politica militare e coloniale. Quando tutti ti vogliono a capo di un progetto può significare che sei il più bravo oppure che il rischio di fallimento connesso al progetto stesso appaia talmente alto da far si che nessuno abbia intenzione di accollarselo.

Gli ufficiali francesi dovrebbero magari farsi questa domanda: "Il nostro paese è in una situazione politica tale da permettersi di giocare un ruolo di prim’ordine nel Sud del Libano ?"
Dal punto di vista libanese, la risposta a questa domanda è senz’altro no.
Con cio non si vuole dire che non esistono ampi settori politici, popolari ed ufficiali, che mirano a giocare tale ruolo; significa semplicemente che le condizioni per l’attuazione (…) -

Ma la risoluzione, che ha portato al cessate il fuoco solo perché prevede il disarmo di Hezbollah, in osservanza a precedente risoluzione ONU, non dice chi deve disarmare Hezbollah.
