Anomalies were found. Almost all of the witnesses that I spoke with felt that the ballots were not in random order, that they had been previously sorted. There would be long spurts of votes for only one candidate and then long spurts for another, which seemed statistically improbable to most.
From what they were able to get through, witnesses found that signature counts were very much different from the official recorded number of ballots.
At the time of the orientation, Jacqui Maiden (…)

John Kerry trying to undermine, delegitimize and minimize the Ohio recount
18 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
17 commentsIn an exclusive interview with RAW STORY Friday, the Green Party’s presidential candidate David Cobb lashed out at Sen. John Kerry, saying he Democratic nominee has tried to “undermine,” “delegitimize” and “minimize” the Ohio recount.
Cobb, who ran an unsuccessful bid for president, is at the vanguard of the Ohio recount. The Green and Libertarian Parties raised tens of thousands of dollars to pay for the recount and put county observers on the ground.
Meanwhile, Cobb observed, Kerry has (…) -
U.S. - A Call for a New Election
17 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
11 commentsCurrently, there is a big hue and cry on the part of the Green and Libertarian Parties, and Nader to count all the votes. I am in favor of this, as it will undoubtedly disclose major differences between false vote counts reported in the media - like 3.5 million more votes nationally for Bush than Kerry; 136,000 more for Bush than Kerry in Ohio, and other such inaccurate data. Counting every vote, just in the state of Ohio, will reveal one more lie the Bush government and a pliant press has (…)

Freedom Fighters in Ohio Call for Help
17 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsOne of our bloggers sent in this impassioned plea for help from Gary Polvinale, in Sandusky, Ohio. Gary describes how hard people in Ohio are working to make sure that every vote gets counted, and why he’s looking for you to write to the media and demand that they start reporting on the growing list of irregularities being uncovered as the recount moves ahead.

The "I" Word

12 commentsYou Intellectual You:
The new word in town is "intellectual." Those people who were embarrassed to be called "liberal" now have a new word to be scared of, the "I" word, "intellectual." Listen to this response I received regarding my 12/15 article "Our Beautiful Horns" () :
"Robin, Dubya won the election, get over it. Your Kafka-esque analogy illustrates your own self-loathing and intellectual dishonesty. Dismissal of the majority rule as being ignorant, selfish, and hypocritical only (…) -
The Yushchenko ’Poison Plot’ Fraud. He’s poisoning Ukrainian politics with lies
17 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
14 commentsby Justin Raimondo
The headlines blared: "Doctors Confirm Yushchenko Poison Claim" - and, yes, even I believed it. But, you know what? It’s a lie. And now the truth is coming out....
I knew there was something fishy about the whole "Yushchenko-was-poisoned-by-the-bad-guys" narrative, even as I blindly accepted the pronouncement of Dr. Michael Zimpfer, of the Rudolfinerhaus clinic in Vienna, that tests had "proved" the poisoning hypothesis, and he now considers the "case closed." To begin (…) -

Democracy at Death’s Doorstep
In November 2000 democracy, or the mirage that passed for it, was dismembered, never again allowed to grace America with its cherished principles espousing the power of ‘We the People.’ It was four years ago that democracy inhaled its last breath of (…) -
New Mexico demands 1.4 million for recount by today- Where is John Kerry?
16 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
8 commentsThe Cobb-LaMarche legal team is weighing its options after a New Mexico court yesterday reaffirmed a decision by New Mexico’s Democratic Governor Bill Richardson and two colleagues on the New Mexico State Canvassing Board to allow a recount of the state’s presidential ballots, but only if David Cobb and other recount advocates pay $1.4 million by today to cover recount costs. Updates to this story will be posted here later today.
"There’s tremendous grassroots support for the recount and (…) -

Ohio hand recount suspended after exposing tabulator malfunction
15 December 2004 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsOhio, Fairfield County, suspends recount
At 4 pm today, after failing to get a match of hand counted ballots with punch card tabulator (ESS), two hand counts and two times through machine, after stating they were awaiting a call back from that company to have a new machine delivered, less than 30 seconds later convened a board meeting, voted to suspend recount, to await a new machine from ESS, and recount will be re-done Saturday, same exact precincts, the building is now closed, you are (…)
