As each year goes by, I think of the body politics and throw up my hands since I no longer see any candidate worth fighting for. As we go on, I am reminded of a short speech given by the fictional Chief of Staff on the West Wing, Leo McGary where he said: “Because I’m tired of it year after year after year after year having to chose between the lesser of who cares? Of trying to get myself excited about a candidate who can speak in complete sentences. Of setting the bar (…)

Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez Frias did not fire off missiles at innocent women and children

It is so typical of the United States media to sound the alarm as they just did in an editorial: Halt Chavez arms buildup as if the sky is falling. Meanwhile, under this Bush administration, and as reported in a previous article, they allow Russia to rebuild the arms race ... which is far more devastating to the human race.
Easy does it, my fellow Americans, you have nothing to fear from President Hugo Chavez ... but you do from Bush. Come to think of it, so does the (…) -

US Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton called the lack of body armor provided to our military personnel as being "unforgivable" this past week and wants an investigation into this matter. While our troops do need that body armor, it is like placing a band-aid on a gaping wound especially when it comes to the use of depleted uranium in Iraq. More on that later...
What I find unforgivable, especially after I wrote Blow Back! is where the CIA was used today in taking out the (…) -
Bush "How do you know his life would have been good?"

A while ago, I had discussions with a number of people through emails where they have suggested that I back down in my criticisms of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton since she voted for the war and perhaps will be the Democratic candidate come 2008. But, if I want to remain truthful with my readers and have credibility, I simply have to stay the course. As an American that has been against this war from the start, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s vote for this war was (…) -

VHeadline.com commentarist Mary MacElveen writes: To my readers, you may have noticed no columns from me since I am presently serving as a juror in a civil matter. While I am not able to relay the particulars of the case that I am serving on due to the oath that I took, I feel like screaming.
After I wrote the piece "Blow Back" ... then to read Roy Carson’s (…) -

In response to a past article written by Reggie: G.W. Bush: Deaf Man Talking I stated that her article goes much deeper than that. If you have not read this article, I highly recommend that you do.
Here is my direct response to her outstanding article: “But, I think it goes much deeper than that. It goes to his mentality. I do not know if you were ever a fan of that show “The Pretender” I was a huge fan of it when it was on. In order to order to try to tie loose ends (…) -
A Bloody Start to this New Year

As each New Year starts many in a “Polly Anna” fashion and with a deep abiding faith in a higher power people believe that it will be better than the last. We celebrate as the seconds pass by where we enter the New Year only for the crushing blow of reality to hit us. We are living through some sort of twilight zone or time loop that has us repeating the same year we left.
What we left was one of the bloodiest years yet in Iraq and now it is happening all over again (…) -
How is socialism bad when it helps those who need it most?

8 commentsby Mary MacElveen There are times where the good news coming from Venezuela is overshadowed by those closely monitoring what weapons have been purchased by the Chavez administration, or how he will interact with Bolivia’s president-elect Evo Morales.
In my opinion both are treated by those who oppose President Chavez as if the sky were falling in.
The opposition, both in America and in Venezuela, should sit down and take a deep breath.
Some are alarmed at President Chavez’ (…) -

In answering the terrorists back who attacked the United States on September 11th, 2001, George W. Bush was quoted as saying: "They (the terrorists) hate us for our freedoms."
Well, those freedoms can be found in the United States Constitution.
Contained within the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the very laws that separate us from those we have always abhorred. By enacting the Patriot Act, we told Osama bin Laden and others just like him, that they won. (…) -

When I read Howard Kurtz’s article: Bush Presses Editors on Security it reminded me of a CBS movie "Hitler: The Rise of Evil." You may be asking why this movie came to mind. There are many Americans and those around the globe who have compared Bush with Adolph Hitler.
One has only to look at the Patriot Act to know this to be true.
When Hitler came to power, he pushed for an Enabling Act which, as I have stated before, is strikingly similar and during his reign (…)
