Back in January, 2005, I emailed Dr. Steven Freeman about the Mitofsky anaylsis of the 2004 Presidential election exit poll. In that email, I made an observation about a particular detail in the Mitofsky analysis that had not been noticed by any researcher or critic of the report at that time. You may see the original observation I made here.
The Mitofsky hypothesis proposes that "within precinct error" (WPE) is the reason for the exit poll discrepancy that we’ve all heard about. In his (…)

Democrats, Paper ‘Trails’ Aren’t Good Enough; Count The Damn Ballots!

March 19, 2005-After the 2004 election I thought I would barf if I heard one more Democratic pundit or politician lament the lost election and blame it on the party’s "message." As grassroots activists across the country reported thousands of election irregularities and voting machine "glitches" that overwhelmingly benefited Bush, the Democratic leadership seemed unusually willing to look the other way. John Kerry quickly conceded, former President Carter attended Bush’s (…) -
E voting Corruption record
2 April 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentFLORIDA’S 2000 nightmare over punch-card ballots caused America to stampede toward purely electronic voting. But this snowballing trend raises two new concerns: vote-stealing could be easier in digitized elections, and several computer balloting firms have shady pasts.
Most of America’s e-voting is done on machines purchased from three firms: Diebold Election Systems, Sequoia Pacific, and Election Systems & Software (ES&S). Two of the companies are headed by brothers. All are led (…) -

By Stephen Dyer
Beacon Journal staff writer
There’s a one-in-959,000 chance that exit polls could have been so wrong in predicting the outcome of the 2004 presidential election, according to a statistical analysis released Thursday.
Exit polls in the November election showed Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., winning by 3 percent, but President George W. Bush won the vote (…) -

Officially, President Bush won November’s election by 2.5%, yet exit polls showed Kerry winning by 3% [1] . According to a report to be released today by a group of university statisticians, the odds of a discrepancy this large between the national exit poll and election results happening by accident are close to (…) -
Democrats Fail to Serve as Opposition Party
28 March 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
4 commentsAfter giving George W. Bush far too easy a ride in his first term, the Democratic leadership in Congress promised that the second term was going to be different. "This is not a dictatorship," announced Senate minority leader Harry Reid. The new head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Illinois Representative Rahm Emanuel, declared, "The President neither has the mandate he thinks he has nor a majority to make policy." But three months of watching the Democrats’ stumbling, (…)

Revolution takes hold in Kyrgyzstan
A pro-democracy movement sweeping across the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan secured its first political concession from the country’s president yesterday when he ordered a review of results in recent disputed elections.
As protests hailed by opposition supporters as a "tulip revolution" took hold in big cities, President Askar Akayev showed his first signs of weakening in the face of the protests, calling for talks. Jalal-abad police station (…) -

Democracy Fails: Corporations Win
Democracy in the United States is only a shadow in a corporate media cave of deceit, lies and incomplete information. We stand ignorant of what the powerful are doing in our name and how the corporate media ignores key issues affecting us all.
A young professional couple from San Diego stated the weekend before the election, "we don’t think voting will make any difference so why bother?" Over 80 million eligible voters joined them by refusing to (…)
